The Beach House By: J.T. Harding

An abused wife finds there is escape, and the happiness she believes could never be hers. Jenni Adams has strayed before. Two years earlier it was with a young man she could not resist. Now her attraction to the young couple staying in the Beach House will trigger events more climactic and final than she can imagine. Kim and Joe Fransiscus are rediscovering each other following the birth of their daughter. The vacation is meant to be a chance to relax, but the beautiful woman who comes to swim from the house next door attracts them both. When Kim teases Joe with a hint of her interest events take a new turn. For Jenni’s husband Mark the years keep getting tougher. His business is failing, his marriage with it, and Mark has no idea what he can do to save them. His frustration emerges as violence, a violence that turns against more than his wife, because no one is going to take his property from him. The Beach House is a story driven by lust, sensuality and anger. Three individuals make a decision to stop fighting their desire. A fourth can no longer fight his compulsion to strike out. Warning: Includes scenes of lesbian sex, masturbation, mild bondage, anal sex, group sex, breast feeding, lactation and jellyfish.

My Review

How many times have you looked at a couple and thought..Why?  Why would she put up with that?  The answer often varies and more often than not its unpleasant.  The same goes for our Cinderella.. ..Jenni.  Many of us spend our lives being afraid of our own desires or being made to feel ashamed of them because they are not what society deems as normal.  What is the meaning of that horrid word anyway? Jenni is no different.  Being ashamed of herself and her reputation she tries to change it and herself by marrying someone who is her opposite.  Too bad that it ended up being a really bad decision.  It gets worse as Mark tries to turn the only thing that Jenni holds dear against her and begins to beat her.  So, she loses herself in her job and her swimming...the only real escape from her reality.  She wants to run away from her marriage but she feels beat down and deserving of her circumstances. Then she comes across her idea of the perfect couple and her whole life changes.  Most times our adult fairy tales are quite different from our childhood ones, as Jenni soon discovers when things heat up between our little menage.
This book is about being true to yourself and following your desires, even if they are quite different than those of the general society.  Jenni was a  real lifelike and likable character faced with real problems.  Even though many people in her situation don't get a fairy tale ending, or even close, our Cinderella becomes the heroine in her own adult fairytale.  Which just so happens to involve silk ties, sex, and jellyfish! This was a really good read!

BloodBreeders: Living in Darkness Written By: Robin Renee Ray

Not once in her life did farm girl Renee Crocker, imagine she would encounter a world found only in the minds of myth-seeking men. Although the things they sought were not always unheard of in the 1930’s in other parts of the world, life was just too harsh in the small Texas community, to pay mind to anything other than raising a healthy crop to ensure the survival of one’s family. But late one evening during supper, a stranger comes knocking on the door of the Crocker family farm house and is invited inside.

It doesn’t take long for Renee to discover a great number of things that people in her neck of the woods couldn’t even contemplate. The dark of night takes on a whole new meaning, and the once vulnerable young country woman finds herself struggling to survive in a world that demands she live forever in darkness.

My Review
Robin Renee takes us on a dazzling journey through the growth of the recently turned  vampire Renee Crocker.  Leading a sheltered life on a small farm, Renee was unprepared for the beautiful stranger that showed up at her parents house.  It wasn't uncommon for people to stop by for a few days or even stay on a whole season to work the fields. Her father never turned anyone away and had a bunk house set up for travelers. But in her 26 years of life, no one had ever stirred anything in her like Martin.  Dressed in a suit, unlike most of the travelers, he shows up one night just as the family is sitting down for dinner.  He politely declines the invitation to dinner only wishing to rest for the night.  Renee is sent to the bunkhouse to bring him a plate and some blankets.  She is hypnotized by his presence and stutters nervously as she hands him the items with a blush developing on her cheeks.  Martin is enchanted and recalls what brought him here in the first place.  He has big plans for this small town beauty.  Its just too bad he can't tell her til after hes done.
This was a really great book.  I was sucked into the plot just from the prologue and couldn't wait to get started.  And once I started the book, I couldn't put it down!  It takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride..you laugh ..you cry..your heart breaks, then bleeds and finally starts getting put back together again. Robin Renee does a great job of creating a whole new world of vampires for readers to get lost in!  Ann Rice fans need to point their radar this way!

I bought:

Man Candy Monday!!!!!

Even though I would love to do another Eric feature I must sadly move on to another sexy vampire.  Everyone see last nights True Blood? You ate my fairy godmother...LOL!!  Something that was not in Cinderellas story..Anyway here is some Damon!!  Enjoy!!

The Dragons of Chiril By: Donita K. Paul

A young emerlindian's desperate decision threatens to disrupt the foundation of the world..........
Tipper has been caring for her family's estate for years now, ever since her father disappeared, making a living selling off his famous artwork.  Then she learns that three statues she sold were carved from an ancient foundation stone, and the fabric of her reality is crumbling.

She must free her father and save the world.  But she can't do it alone.....
Her ragtag band of adventurers includes Beccaroon, a giant parrot; Bealomondore, an aristocratic young artist; a handsome dragonkeeper prince; the Wizard Fenworth; and the tumanhofer librarian, Librettowit.  Together they travel through valleys and kingdoms and consort with purveyors of good and agents of evil to find a reunite the missing statues.  Will they learn to rely on Wulder's grace and guidance along the way?

My Review

Our story begins with young Tipper and her trusted companion Beccaroon selling another one of her fathers statues.  Her father has been missing for several years and this is the one way Tipper has come up with to keep them all afloat.  Even though it breaks her heart to have to sell what art remained behind after her fathers disappearance, she truly has no other option.  Her mother, even though she lives with Tipper, doesn't provide much help.  She often adds to Tippers heartache with her fanciful stories of her fathers nightly visits.  Tippers only solace is her best friend and confident Beccaroon who happens to be a grand parrot.  Beccaroon has taken over her absentee father's role and helped raise Tipper with strong morals. Then one night...with one strange visit, Tippers whole world is turned upside down and her adventure begins.
Donita takes us through Tippers awakening into a new phase of her life and her heart. Tipper and her merry band of delightfully mismatched companions embark on a quest to save her fathers life. My favorite characters would have to be the minor dragons.  They help set the mood and keep the book rolling through this enchanting adventure. This book was a delightful read!

Time

A friend and I were discussing the never ending weight loss debate and time.  She asked me if I had two extra hours in a day wouldn't you exercise?  I looked at her like she was insane...Do you know what I could accomplish with two more hours? LOL,  Wouldn't be exercise.  But I would like a 2 hour break.  That got me thinking about you.  Ive read dozens of profiles and blogs and realized most of us are wives/mothers/grandmothers/college students/writers/career girls/bloggers and realized most of us would like two extra hours in a day.  So my question is to you:  How would you spend your two extra hours?
