Giveaway and Release Day Party with Lacey Wolfe and her book Bidding Wars

Happy Saturday Everyone!  Today I welcome Lacey Wolfe back to CEWTNK, were we show off our sweeter side :)  Even though Lacey is known for making it hot, she took a break and wrote a sweet little contemporary romance with closed door action.  So sit back, pull your loved one close, and get ready to get Closer.....

Being a multi-published author, some books are more special to me than others. Bidding Wars is one of those that holds a special place in my heart.
This story hit me like a ton of bricks and flowed from my finger tips to the keyboard in record speed—at least for me. This story is filled with passion. Not just between the characters, but from me.

You see, when I set out to write this story, I wanted to forget about sex. Sex is in all books and some heat us up more than others. I write both erotic and contemporary romance. I wanted to write a story that put all that aside and simply told a love story. Now, it isn’t complelty sex free. After all, I was writing about two adults. The door is only slightly cracked open. But you aren’t going to find all the nitty gritty details in this story.
I hope readers will find in Bidding Wars, two people coming together in a way unimaginable. After all, they both want to buy the same house. And yet, only one of them can have it.

Bidding Wars will be the first story in a new trilogy titled Love Strikes. It will follow three nurses from a pediatric 24-hour office. The second book has been contracted, and I suspect will release later this year. If you enjoy this style of writing from me, be on the lookout for It Must Be Fate.

Let's take a look at the book and our two main characters:
A sheriff plus a nurse plus a house equals trouble…

Nurse Molly Harper has had a tough year. But when she decides to regain control of her life, buying her dream house becomes her first priority. Finding the perfect house and falling in love with it—that’s the easy part. The hard part is getting rid of the obnoxious man who thinks he’s going to be the new owner. Even if he is gorgeous. And the sheriff…

Sheriff Luke Logan needs to buy a house. Getting out of the renting game will help in the custody battle for his son, so when the perfect place pops up right on his street, he can’t believe his luck. But there’s already an offer on the table, and the woman won’t back down. Too bad she doesn’t know that he always goes after what he wants, and he has no intention of letting her have “his” house. Even if she does make him feel that he might need more than just a house to make a home…

Lacey’s Top Five Favorite Quotes from Bidding Wars:

1. “It wasn’t a competition until Ms. Harper here said, ‘Let the best offer win.’ She upped the game.” – Luke Logan
2. “See, I told you; waterbeds are fun.” – Luke Logan
3. “Being an adult is no fun. Sometimes it’s nice to let loose.” – Luke Logan
4. “Just because you got to bat this inning doesn’t mean you’ll be here for a second.” – Molly Harper
5. “I plan to play this right and hopefully not strike out.” – Luke Logan

I actually hate bidding wars- would rather buy it out right- but I do love to collect special ornaments for the Christmas tree. Have been known to bid high on those. sdylion(at)gmail(dot)com

Hi Nikki!
Thanks for hosting me.

This book was inspired by the Bidding Wars that my husband and I actually had last summer as we tried to buy our new home. Finally...4 houses later, we won!

I think the only thing I would get in a bidding war about would be posters for old movies. I love the artwork, it's the only thing I can think of that I would be tempted to go crazy over.

Unless I win the lottery, there's really nothing I'd get into a bidding war over... I' too cheap :) Thanks for the lovely post and giveaway!

I'm to lazy to do that, I just wanna buy it. I would be the worst one to take to a Moroccan Bazaar or trying to buy a car. I stink at bargaining

I'm to passive to get into a bidding war.... I would just let the person have it....nothing is worth fighting over unless it is family!!!

Thank you for the giveaway!!

As long as it is a live auction it could be most anything, just fun to participate as long as we remember how much we have to spend.
