Hello Kristin and welcome to CEWTNK!  I’m so glad you could stop in and speak with us today! I have developed a fascination for your story and I’m extremely interested in getting to know you!
Thank you!  I’m excited to be here, my creator Stacy Eaton, is finally letting me talk for once.
So tell us, what was it like growing up in a small town?
There are good and bad things about growing up in a small town, the good things – you know everyone which makes my job easier. The bad things – you know everyone so sometimes that can get in the way of the job!
I’m sure that would be a positive/negative.  What were some of your interests while you were in school?
In high school, I was very involved in theater.  I didn’t act. I was always behind the sets. I never was one for being in the spot light. Even now, I hate being in front of a crowd, but when I am in uniform it seems to be easier.  I also enjoyed photography and had my own dark room, and I loved to work out.  Lifting weights was a release for me.
I love pictures!!  Knowing that, what made you navigate towards law enforcement?
Being a very controlling and demanding person.  Lol… No that’s not really the reason, but it’s true.  I’m a pretty strong person, and I really believe in helping others when they need it.  I have always enjoyed helping other people so being in law enforcement just kind of made sense.  I have never regretted my decision – I love the job that I do.
Could you see yourself in another career, or is this it for you?
I love my job, so thinking about doing any other job just isn’t in my way of thinking right now. I know that I am going to have a very long life, so I can only expect that somewhere down the line I will change careers.  Maybe I’ll become a professional photography, one of my other passions!
Hmm…might be a retirement alternative.  Do you have any other hobbies or interests?
I just mentioned the photography, although I am going to need to spend some more time practicing night photography, lol…  I love old time classic muscle cars from the 60’s and 70’s; the sounds of the engine, the smell of the raw gas coming from the carburetor, the feel of the power under the hood.  I love those things… Yeah – I know strange coming from a girl!
Not at all…I am some what of a tomboy myself.  What type of music do you listen to?
I love all kinds of music so it will depend on the mood I’m in.  If I’m upset I like to put on some good dance tunes. If I’m stressed I find myself listening to intense somber music. Some of my favorite groups are Evanescence; We are the Fallen and Within Temptation.  If I’m trying to stay hip to the kids you’ll even hear me listening to rap, they find it funny when I can belt out the words to one of their tunes.
I love Evanescence! What is your favorite drink to relax to?
Oh… If I say blood with you think me odd?  Yeah?  Okay… So I guess I’ll go with the Chocolate Martini.  Jules knows I love these and so do my friends. Sweet and easy to drink!
Bloody Mary maybe?  LOL!!  What is your favorite type of food?
Can I say the name of a man here? Lol… Just kidding!  I’m a big steak eater. Even before I knew what was going on in my life, I always loved a good solid rare steak.  After learning more about my life, it kind of made sense, don’t you think?
You most certainly could have named a man!!  LOL!! Describe your ideal romantic evening.
Let’s go take a ride in a nice strong muscle car; we can drive my Dodge Challenger.  We’ll pack a nice picnic meal and go sit under the stars down at Glen Eagle Lake.  Watch the animals creep along the water’s edge, listen to the sounds of the night and just relax.  Add in some soft kisses, a little laughter and some serious snuggling and that would be my idea romantic evening!
I confess to having a fascination with hand cuffs J, do you share this when you are off the clock?
Lol...  Most of my human non-cop friends have a little fascination with hand-cuffs. I guess with me I look at them as a tool, not a toy.  I mean if you are a mechanic, is bringing oil to the bedroom fun?  Wait? Ummm… yeah I guess that was a bad example! Lol….
Yes..oil is a bad example!!  LOL!!! Can you describe to me the difference in the feelings you have between Alex and Jules?  To me it seems that Jules is a quick blast of lightening, while Alex is a steady current.  But that’s my take.
Wow… Jules and Alexander… Both of them have such a huge spot in my heart. Well, not just my heart, but my soul too.  Let’s see if I can explain it… Jules is chemistry. It’s like how you said a quick blast of lightening.  Looking into his eyes has a way of quickening my heart and making me lose any other thoughts. There is an instant connection with us and always has been.  Now Alex… Alex is solid. He’s much stronger than Julian and makes some hard core decisions.  I think that is one of things that holds my attention for him; his strength because I get that.  It’s so much like me! I respect him so I think how you worded it for him “a steady current” is pretty spot on! Not sure I could have put it in better words!
Do you think that you’ll ever leave your home town?
Oh I know I will! I can’t tell you the details but my creator has explained that we are going to be taking a road trip here soon!  Gotta zip my lips on the rest!
I know you were ready to discuss having kids with your 1st husband, but you seem to have moved away from that. Why?
We’re talking about Travis; my human husband right?  Travis and I were all about our jobs, our careers were the most important thing to us.  I miss Travis, he was a good man, but if we had started a family, I wouldn’t have been able to move into the world that I have. My life would have stayed in the human realm for all time. I know someday I will be ready for children… we’ll see what the future holds for me.
Besides children and your dog, what are your plans for the future?
Well, I’d like to build my dream house on Glen Eagle Lake.  I showed Trent where I wanted to put it, and I think I’d like to get Garda a friend.  He gets a bit lonely at times, so I might be getting him someone to pal around with.  I think a lot is going to depend on what happens in the next stage of my life.  There are a lot of changes going on right now and it will all depend on what happens with those changes.
Would you like to travel?  If so, where would you like to go?
I love the ocean.  Water is very calming to me, and the sounds of the ocean are so relaxing.  Of course my days in the sun have been numbered, but I can still enjoy the beautiful beaches in the evening.
Have you tried out the new IPAD 2 yet?  I know you love your Droid but I’ve been thinking of buying one…LOL.
Lol… I love my Droid – YES!  In fact I’m getting ready to buy the new Droid Bionic! It is so freaking cool. I’m gonna stay away from the IPAD’s right now – but I do have the KindleFire on my Christmas List!
Thanks for joining us today.  Will you stay and answer questions from my readers?
While I can’t stay the whole time, I will be popping in and out between calls (some people really do have to work to pay the bills).  I would love to answer any questions that your readers might have for me!!!  Bring them on!
LOL...So Kristin was a blast to to talk to!!  I really enjoyed that interview!  Now lets take a look at the second book in the series!!

Chapter 19 – Trent
Her adrenaline was racing, fierce and strong. I could feel every drop of it. While I had felt my share of adrenaline surges on my own, I had never felt one coming from someone else. It was amazing. She told me to grab something out of the truck as she pulled up to a house and immediately jumped out of the truck and ran to the front door. I was right behind her along with the other two cops that had followed us over.
When I got inside, Kristin was already doing compressions on the man and was looking around the room. Ian was down on his knees getting a piece of equipment out, and Kristin told me to get the pads ready. I sat down next to her and pulled them out getting them ready for her. The whole time I could feel her emotions running through her.
I watched as she looked up at the wife, how she looked over at the children that were with Stefan, heard her prayer for the man she worked on.
As she stood up and backed away, allowing the other personnel to work on him, I found I couldn’t take my eyes off her. She walked to the woman and picked up a toy, then moved into the kitchen. I followed her quietly. She spoke with the woman and handed the bunny to the little girl. The compassion moving through her system was amazing, and I could feel it. The adrenaline was dying down, but other emotions were still very strong in her.
We left the house after the man had been taken out on a stretcher. I walked next to her as she walked to the truck. As she put the red bag into the back, I felt awestruck. She turned to me, and I had never meant to say anything, hadn’t meant to do anything, but when I saw her look at me with a confused look on her face, I could not stop myself from stepping up close to her.
“I could feel your adrenaline. It was so strong, and then I could almost feel all your thoughts. You were worried about the man and the woman who was crying. You were fighting for that man’s life because he had small children and he was too young to die. I heard them; I felt them. That was incredible.” I lifted her chin with my fingers.
“That was beautiful.” I leaned down and kissed her. I didn’t care who saw us, or what was going on around us. I needed at that moment to tell her how amazed I was at all of this. How amazed I was at the feelings the bond between us had created. I would have said more, but her radio came to life and called her once again.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Currently I work full time as a Police Officer for a small township is Southeastern Pennsylvania. While my current position is that of a patrol officer, I spend a lot of my time doing investigations and crime scene processing.  Forensics is something I love and I take my job seriously.

I am also a wife to a Police Officer and with our constant schedules life can get very hectic in our home. I have been blessed with two children, a son who is currently in the United States Navy and I am very proud of him for what he is doing and for putting serving his Country. My daughter is a priceless princess who loves to help me market my books to teachers and other parents while she is at school and church.

When I am not working the job that currently pays all the bills I work on my business. Yes, I have my own business too.

I have two Shiloh Shepherd dogs, Garda and Callie. They are a bit different than the standard German Shepherds most people are use to. They are larger and less aggressive and they have more fur!  Man do they have fur!!!  Garda has a face that resembles a wolf, which makes me love him even more. (You can see by my photo that I wear a wolf pendant). Garda actually means "The Guardian" in Irish. It is also the name of the Irish Police.  Rather fitting for our family of officers don't you think?

In my spare time...I write.
