Blame It On The Mistletoe
It just wasn’t working.
I’d found the perfect sprig of mistletoe and hung it in the doorway between our kitchen and dining room. Ravishing your beloved under the mistletoe was a Miller family tradition, and I wanted to preserve it. There was no way Tyler and Jamie could miss it. Hell, the thing was huge, and the floppy Christmas plaid ribbon should have attracted their attention if nothing else did.
Still, I found myself standing alone in the doorway, watching the two of them making our first Christmas Eve dinner. Jamie had worked all day to make the perfect standing rib roast, and Tyler was opening a bottle of Pinot Noir.
Tyler placed the bottle and three wine tumblers on tray and began to walk my way. Finally.
His eyebrow arched, and he huffed. “Think you could maybe not block the door?”
I leaned against the door jam and gave him my best sultry look. “Notice anything?”
“Yeah, that you’re in my way.” He rolled his eyes. “Come on, Sean, just move.”
Frowning, I stepped aside. As Tyler placed the tumblers and filled them with wine, I heard the oven door open and remembered I still had another chance at mistletoe victory. I turned my head and was greeted with the beautiful sight of Jamie leaning over the roast. His perfectly rounded ass made me temporarily forget why I was standing in the damn doorway in the first place.
Jamie looked over his shoulder and laughed. “Somehow I don’t think you’re salivating over the roast.”
“But I am looking at something good enough to eat.” I licked my lips and adjusted my stiffening cock. “You do this to me on purpose.”
He laughed again as he lifted the roasting pan and closed the oven door with his foot. “Of course I do. But there’s no time for that,” he said as plated the roast. “Soup’s on.”
Seconds later, Jamie stood in front of me. He leaned toward me, his dark brown eyes shining. “Babe?” he whispered.
I eagerly met him halfway. “Yes?”
“Make yourself useful and grab the mashed potatoes.”
I straightened with a dramatic sigh. “Sure. After all, I’m just standing around.”
I stomped over to the counter and glared at the heaping bowl of creamy potatoes. The scent of garlic was unmistakable, and there was a lake of melted butter in the middle. Just like I liked them.
Come to think of it, I’d mentioned how good a standing rib roast looked after Jamie had us watch an episode of one of his foodie shows.
And Pinot Noir was my favorite wine.
On a hunch, I opened the refrigerator and found my favorite desert: strawberry shortcake.
Strong arms wound around my waist and pulled me tight against a solid chest. Jamie. “You’re ruining your surprise.”
I settled against him and let him turn us around. “What are you up to?”
“Trying to make this a special day for you, for our family.” Tyler placed his hand on my hip. “Merry Christmas.” He waved the mistletoe over all three of our heads.
I laughed. “I was beginning to think you both were blind. Now I see you’re just mean.”
Tyler dropped the mistletoe at our feet and cupped my face with his warm hand. “Just shut up and kiss me.”
Leaning forward, Tyler teased my lips apart with the tip of his tongue. I opened my mouth and let him have me. The faint taste of wine made the kiss that much sweeter. I felt him pull away on a gasp, only to find my lips devoured by a different mouth, a different taste. Jamie growled into the kiss when a third pair of lips met ours. Both my men kissed me, just as they’d done our first night together.
By the end of the kiss, my legs were jelly. Had Jamie and Tyler not been holding me so tightly, I’d have slumped to the floor.
Jamie kissed my neck and swallowed hard. “As much as I’d like to bend you over the kitchen island and fuck you into tomorrow…”
“I know, I know.” I ran my hands down the back of Tyler’s jeans. “You slaved over a hot stove all day.”
Tyler hummed as he brushed his clothed cock against my hip. “And the food is getting cold.” He thrust against me again. “But we can definitely have dessert in bed.”
Merry Christmas to me.

I just have to say it.....yummmmmmm!!!! To the food and the hot guys:) Here is a little bit about the book and our author!!
Years after Sean’s heart was broken by his first love Jamie, he is ready to try his hand at love again with Tyler, his handsome, perfect-geek-for-him boyfriend. But when Jamie returns home after twelve years in the Army, Sean finds himself unable to choose between his passion for
and his still smoldering desire for Jamie. Tyler
But if Jamie and Tyler get along, maybe he won’t have to choose after all.
I picked up his cup, and as I stood, I spotted a familiar face sitting at a table between me and the soda fountain. It wasn’t until I focused on her escort that I panicked.
“Oh fuck.” I quickly sat back in the booth and scooted up against the wall.
“Quiet.” I leaned across the table and whispered. “Who would be the absolute last person I’d want to see right now?”
His eyes went wide. “You cannot be serious.”
I laid my head on the table. “I wish I weren’t. He’s here with his mom.”
I grabbed his arm and pulled him back. “No, he’ll see you.”
“What are we? In high school? Tell me where the hell he is so I can look at him.”
I sighed. “Second table from the drink fountain. His mom’s wearing a red shirt, I think.”
I could see that
’s playful mood had taken a nosedive. “Oh? That’s it?” Tyler
I laid my head back down on the table. So much for not seeing Jamie. Why were they even in
I jumped up, determined to at least get out of the restaurant without having to talk to them. “Let’s go.”
I reached out and grabbed
’s arm. “Don’t make me yank you up and carry you out of here.” Tyler
He held his hands up in surrender, his cheeks burning again. It always turned him on when I was dominant and demanding. The blush made me think our night wouldn’t be a total loss after all.
There was no way to leave without passing their table. I pushed
in front of me, gave his ass a little smack, and told him to walk fast. I hoped the shield of his body and a little speed might get us out of there unnoticed. Tyler
“Don’t stop, no matter what,” I whispered.
Face forward and back straight,
headed down the aisle between the tables. I wasn’t far behind. Just as we passed their table, I heard Dr. Matthews speak. Tyler
I pulled up beside
and urged him forward with a hand to the small of his back. He stumbled slightly, but neither of us stopped. I cringed when I heard her voice again. Tyler
“James, was that Sean?”
Rushing outside, we walked a few yards down the sidewalk before stopping to lean back against the outer wall of a nearby store.
“Oh, I don’t know about that.” I pulled away from the wall and turned to
, wrapping my arms around his waist. “You certainly don’t feel like a girl.” Tyler
“Yes, but I do feel like a complete idiot.”
Taking a chance, I kissed him. It was the only way I knew to apologize. He went stiff in my arms, but I didn’t stop. He finally relaxed, moving his lips slowly with mine.
“Forgive me?” I ran the pad of my thumb over his reddened lips.
“I must, since I let you kiss me in front of God and everybody.” He gave me a shy smile.
“This wasn’t exactly how I planned to spend our lunch hour. Come over tonight and let me make it up to you?”
“Only if you provide the food and the beer.”
“I think I can manage that.” I quickly kissed him once more. “It’s the least I can do after using you as a human shield.”
Still entwined around each other, we agreed on a time for dinner and said our good-byes.
allowed me another quick kiss before pulling back and walking away, sparing me one brief look over his shoulder. Tyler
I could see him standing there out of the corner of my eye. I wasn’t sure how long Jamie had watched us, but judging from the look on his face when I turned toward him, he’d seen plenty.
Our standoff lasted long enough for me to really look at him. His skin was darkly tanned, and his arms and chest were bulging with muscles I didn’t remember him having. While obviously growing out from its army cut, his hair was still very short, and the dirty blond was mixed with a little gray at his temples. As he stared back, he wrung his hands, passing his fingers over the prominent veins. His bottom lip was clenched between his teeth.
The only thing that hadn’t changed were his eyes. Deepest brown. Expressive. Bottomless. No matter how hard he fought to cover his emotions, they were obvious with one look into his eyes. Even as he held his body confidently and almost confrontationally, he watched me with eyes that were sad…pleading…desperate. Still, he didn’t move toward me. He just waited.
I turned and walked away, leaving his wringing hands and puppy-dog eyes without a glance back.
