Book Description:

Myth, murder, and money clash in this gripping undersea adventure.

The rare discovery of a ship sunk during the time of the Trojan War has been found off the coast of Turkey, near Troy. Charlotte Dashiell is an American nautical archaeologist and thrilled to be part of the recovery team. The wreck may contain proof of her highly controversial theory about the Trojan War.

Charlotte is present when the Turkish government agent assigned to guard the site is murdered. Her possible involvement and a questionable connection to a private collector of black market relics bring her under suspicion. Atakan Vadim is the Turkish agent sent to investigate her. Unknown to either of them, the smuggler behind the murder plans to steal a valuable artifact and frame Charlotte for the theft...after they murder her.

About the Author:

I was born and raised in Chicago. My father was a history professor and my mother was, and is, a voracious reader. I grew up with a love of history and books.

My parents also love traveling, a passion they passed onto me. I wanted to see the places I read about, see the land and monuments from the time periods that fascinated me. I’ve had the good fortune to travel extensively throughout Europe, the Near East, and North Africa.

I am a retired police detective. I spent twenty-five years in law enforcement with two different agencies. My desire to write came in my early teens. After I retired, I decided to pursue that dream.

I currently live in the Pacific Northwest with my husband, four rescue dogs and a rescue horse.

This was quite an interesting read about treasures found under the sea.  You start out the book with a team of archaeologists unearthing a treasure from the Trojan War era.  I love anything Greek so the mixture of fact and fiction from this point on was excellent!!  Charlotte has quite an interesting theory on the war itself and looks for clues throughout the dig site to support it.  A murder takes place and Charlotte lands in the prime suspect chair because of her less than reputable connections with the black market.  But things really start to heat up when a sexy detective is introduced into the scene, as the real murders lay in wait for the perfect opportunity to take a piece of rare treasure.  Will the two of them survive long enough to enjoy the passion igniting between them?  This was a well written and completely enjoyable read!  I look forward to reading more from this author!!!  Great Read!!

Hi MCV,
With our love of history and archaeology, we are kindred spirits. I must say the research for Golden Chariot was daunting but fascinating. The sequel should be out by the end of next month. It's called: Byzantine Gold and also has history woven into the plot.

Hi Miranda (Dusty),
I love history and archaeology. When I started my research, I found several articles on nautical archaeology and the work really fascinated me. I knew that was the field I'd give my heroine. I'd live the experience through her:)

Hello! I saw that the sequel, Byzantine Gold is currently being filled for a book tour over at Goddessfishpromotions.blogspot.com and thought you might be interested! I was on the Golden Chariot tour last November (Book- Marks The Spot) and noticed that not a lot of bloggers were signing up to review the sequel so I took it upon myself to spread the word to fellow bloggers who I know read the first book in the series! Sorry if I am being annoying. I just though you might like to know. (:

Thanks and sorry for bothering you,

Ryan Snyder @ Book- Marks the Spot
