When the skeletal remains of a young woman and her baby are found entombed behind the kitchen wall of a historic Tudor house, Cassandra is overcome with grief. She seems to know who the young woman was, but not how she knows or how she came to be there. Cassandra becomes inexplicably drawn to the house and the mystery of the "Bones of Blackfriars." As she begins to learn the truth about the Thorne siblings who occupied the house during the reign of Elizabeth I, her own life takes an unexpected turn and she finds that her fate is linked to the Thornes in ways she never imagined. My Review:
I found this book quite intriguing as it was a break from my normal reads. Cassandra is watching the news when the story about bones being found walled up inside the house. She fills an instant onset of grieve and a connection. This connection actually leads her to purchasing the house, which in turn leads to problems with her current boyfriend. After moving in, she begins to have visions of a woman named Constance who lived during the time of Elizabeth the 1. These visions lead her to writing them out in her second novel. And interestingly enough the story again twists and more players come into the game.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a good length, well put together, and quite enjoyably intriguing! I look forward to reading something else by this author!!
