Gabrielle:  I'm here today with the hero from my newest Sons of Navarus book, Blood Spirit.  Welcome, Terek!

 

Terek:  I'm glad to be here, Gabrielle.

 

Gabrielle:  Let's start by telling the readers about your story, Blood Spirit.

 

Terek:  Sure. Blood Spirit is about finding what you've been looking for all your life. The heroine is an incredible woman named Ilona and the story takes place in Spain and Morocco. And since the Sons series is one that needs to be read in order, Blood Spirit, continues the story of the civil war with the Archons.

 

Gabrielle:  Tell me about Ilona. What's she like?

 

Terek:  Gorgeous. Intelligent. Confident. Opinionated. What can I say? She's got everything a man could want.

 

Gabrielle: You have the look of a man in love, Terek. It's a good look on you. What about the rest of the Sons in Blood Spirit? What can you tell readers about that?

 

Terek:  There's a lot going on with all of us now. Saint and Nico, along with Solenne, are in Greece, but Ramiel and Thane are still at the monastery working on the Prophecy of Idolas with Kali, and Sion and Dante are helping them too. It seems Sion and Kali might be growing close. We'll have to see about that. And Vasilije and Sasa are going through some things, so readers will have to look for that.

 

Gabrielle:  I think you and Ilona are just about as different as two people, I mean vampires, can be. Do you think that helps or hurts your relationship?

 

Terek:  I think both. She's light to my darkness. I'm more reflective, whereas she's more opinionated. Both of these add to our relationship. But on the other hand, she's more reactive because she's new to being vampire. I've been this for 700 years, so I don't get as excited about things.

 

Gabrielle: Do you think it was love at first sight with Ilona?

 

Terek:  I don't know if it was love at first sight, but I fell for her before she fell for me. That just meant I had to work to show her she and I should be together.

 

Gabrielle:  How does that sit with an Alpha male like you?

Terek:  Let's just say I love a challenge, and she certainly was that. She's strong-willed, so that added to the challenge.

 

Gabrielle:  I think that's great that you appreciate a strong woman.

 

Terek:  Alpha males prefer women who are like them. Most don't want a meek woman.  They're too easy.

 

Gabrielle:  You show yourself to be quite a warrior in Blood Spirit. What can you tell us about that?

 

Terek: I was a warrior in the wars with humans until they ended about 100 years ago. I'm old-school, so I always chose to ride into battle on my horse with my falchion.

 

Gabrielle:  You're being too modest, as always, Terek.

 

Terek:  That's the monk in me, Gabrielle.

 

Gabrielle:  I think that's so interesting that you were a monk in your human life. How does that fit with being a vampire?

 

Terek:  I became a monk after losing my family and then I was turned by my sire, Amir. He introduced me to Islam and vampirism. I find both Christianity and Islam intriguing, along with being a vampire. There's spirituality in everything I've exposed myself to.

 

Gabrielle:  Thank you so much for talking with me tonight. It was so interesting!
