Giveaway and Review of Moonshadows By: Claude Dancourt

Hello and welcome to this stop on Claude Dancourt's tour of Moonshadows.  This was a completely different take on were-panthers and I really enjoyed the read!  Let's take a look at the book details:

When Mira was turned into a werecat, she panicked. She ran away from her life and her boyfriend without a goodbye.

One year later, she's on the verge of emotional and physical collapse, and answers are nowhere to be found. When the man she left behind shows up unexpectedly, Mira is so desperate to feel human again that she welcomes him back into her life despite her best resolves.

Erik has some questions of his own, and he won't take no for an answer. He doesn't believe in Supernatural, or in ancestral creatures. He wants a real explanation for her abandon. But when the new moon reveals the black panther inside Mira, he has no choice but to face the truth.

While the pair struggle to work out their issues, a killer lurks in the shadows. And its restraint is thinning...

This was a different take on were-panthers.  You follow Mira through her adjustment to the change that was forced upon her.  When she figured out what exactly was going on, she ran.  She was so afraid of hurting someone she loved, she fled trying to re-start her life.  I liked the approach to this story.  It actually went into details about the hardships and pain she was going through, making the book feel more realistic.  It gave a good glimpse into the background of the mythology surrounding this version of the were-panthers.  The love story inside of the book between Erik and Mira was heart-clinching.  Both had been in such misery without each-other and Erik had been determined to find her, even if he didn't believe her reasoning.  What neither realize is that they are caught up in a much bigger battle with the evil side of the were-panther race racking up victims.  Will Mira choose the right side in the end?  Can Erik accept her as she is?

I really enjoyed this little intro into the upcoming series.  I really liked the fact that the cats start out as kittens in the beginning and actually grow into full panthers with the acceptance of the human host.  It was a unique concept.  Excellent read!!

I'd panic if I turned into a were-cat too. A great review thank you. A different take is always a good thing I think.
