Giveaway and Kickoff Party for Shannan Albright's The King's Lady Tour

Happy Hump-day CEWTNK!!  And don't I have the perfect book to kick it off with!  Here today I have the amazing Shannan Albright's finishing touch on a truly hot and unique twist to the Autherian Legend.  I when I say hot?  I mean you practically sizzle your way through this book!!!  Let's take a look at ALL of the books that made this series fabulous!!

Merci Tramaine is not happy to be called back into service by her old boss Arthur, especially when she is charged to find her missing ex-lover. Drake Monroe is Merlin reincarnated. With his powers bound by the Goddess Nimue, he has become a skilled fighter, but is no match for Nimue who kidnapped him, determined to destroy him forever.
The bloodline of Morgan Le Fey taints Merci, keeping her on the edge between light and dark. The goddess’s wicked trap springs shut, leaving both Drake and Merci racing against the clock. Passions ignite once again, but are they too late to plan a future or will they be torn from each other? This time for eternity.

My Review:

This book has a little bit of everything.  Its a unique twist on the Arthurian legend that most romance readers love to get their hands on. What HEA lover wasn't crazy over the legends associated with his knights and their gallantries?  This book is focused on Merlin.  Merlin is reincarnated into this time as Drake, but his powers are bound by the goddess Nimue. All he has are his memories and some wondrous fighting skills. You don't find out why Nimue wants him to suffer, but there really has to be a story behind it.  She acts like a woman scorned and I'm sure a goddess in that frame of mind is a lot scarier than us mere mortals..lol.  Because of Nimue, Drake has relationship issues.  He falls in love with Merci but pushes her away.

Merci is a descendant of Morgan Le Fey, and has inherited her dark magic.  She struggles constantly with keeping her dark magic under wraps, but it has a seductive pull.  Drake breaks it off with her and she leaves Author's services to go out on her own to try and start over.  The story begins with Author seeking her out because Drake is missing.  Merci curses him but agrees to help.  Even though her heart is shattered by his dismissal, she needs to know he is alright.

They are thrust together because of one goddess's vengeance, but may walk away with more than they ever though possible.  This was quite an entertaining twist on the old legend and contains something for everyone!! I really enjoyed this read and hope Shannan continues with the series!!  It was a quick, hot ride!!

Arthur and his Knights are back and ready to kick ass!
What’s worse than a pissed off Knight? Colin Hennessy.
A war is brewing which suits Colin just fine. Shape shifter, Knight and quick tempered Irishman is a volatile combination. Colin remembers vividly his past life as Sir Kay and with it all that he loved and lost.
Juliet Boyd moves among societies rich and pampered, but she holds within her a terrible secret. One Vance Hollister is determined to exploit. Mordred is back in a new skin. Evil has a new name and Vance Hollister plans on bringing the war onto a new battlefield.
Colin and Juliet are unprepared for the flare of attraction that ignites between them from across a moonlit parking lot. Dare she open herself and expose her cursed gift? Can he save Juliet from Vance’s twisted manipulations? Or will he lose his second chance at love? A showdown between good and evil is coming to a head with Juliet and Colin right in the middle.

My Review:

Shannan does it again in this tantalizing sequel to Beloved Wizard.  All of Author's knights have been reincarnated with him (with the exception of Lancelot, he has just lived) but with upgrades :)  They all have some sort of magical ability.  But with the good come the bad and yep Author's son is here to and still out to destroy him.  The playing field is leveled as an influx of new supernaturals join us in this book, with a little side story of a possible M/M romance.  Both of these hot guys seem really surprised by the sudden change in their relationship, but decide to jump on the train and see where it takes them!  This book was face-paced and action-packed from start to finish, not to mention some smoking hot love scenes.  Excellent Read!!!

Arthur Penner is more than happy to aid a lady in need of help, especially if the woman is targeted by his nemesis Vance Hollister. The fact the lady in question turns out to be not only a powerful witch, but a gorgeous red head with a wealth of curves that don’t quit? Even better.
What he isn’t prepared for is the discovery that the woman just happens to be his reincarnated Queen Gwenivere, and worse, she has no memory of who he is.

His well-ordered life is crumbling around him as yet another surprise turns up in the form of his reincarnated sister. It seems the past is swallowing him whole, forcing him to let go of previous betrayals and trust once more.

Gwen McAllister finds herself between a rock and a hard spot. Drawn to the quiet strength and confidence of Arthur. It isn’t until her memories are savagely restored by a vengeful goddess that she realizes who she is and the bitter betrayal she caused. Even her familiar, a mouthy Himalayan named Salt seems to be against her, demanding she trust the very man she destroyed with her life.

A new threat is rising, one which will plunge the world they know into darkness. To defeat an old enemy they must depend on each other and learn to forgive. A tall order and time is running out. Can they let go of the past and embrace the promise of a future or will they lose everything in the ultimate battle between good and evil?
My Review:

Smashing!!  Shannan takes the build-up from the other 2 books and brilliantly climaxes everything in the last installment!  Imagine, if you can, being saved by a bunch of people who truly hate you and you have no idea why. Gwen kept to herself, with only her aunt and her familiar as company. So when the walking embodiment of Satan comes knocking on her door, she prepares to defend herself as only a witch can.  Only to be rescued by another group of strangers that then proceed to kidnap her, for her protection.  Talk about your bad days!  To make matters worse, Vivianne decides that her memories need to be unlocked all at once, so decades of guilt and shame come crashing down on her.  What woman would want to remember that she was the cause of the fall of Camelot?

I loved this story for many reasons.  First and foremost?  It was incredibly HOT.  The action in this book is sure to leave you hot and bothered.  But the story line is gripping.  It forces you to take another look at the possibilities of what Gwen might have gone through all those decades ago.  It a spin that will make you think, which of course delighted me to no end.  The possibility of a story behind so many?  This was a worthwhile finish to a great series.  The ending was absolutely perfect.  Hats off to you Shannan for creating this unique and thrilling series!!  Excellent Read!

I was always a fan of Merlin. LOL
In the stories I read, he was always able to do just about anything, travel through time, make himself look like anyone he wanted.

I don't think I could ever pick a favorite. I am a sucker for anything with an Arthurian theme and have read dozens of series, all of which like to add just a few new and delightful characters. The only book I didn't get through was the original English translation of Morte de Arthur - There was way too much smoting of everyone and not enough of anything else. To my great shame, after 3 or 400 pages, I finally gave up in bored frustration. This series sounds anything but boring and is going on my TBR list immediately! Noelle❤

I'm really fond of Arthurian legends even though I don't know a lot about the original tale, I still love books that take this fascinating story and turn it into an even more intriguing story!

I think my favorite character is Arthur because he seemed to be a true and just leader for his people, I'm also very fond of Gwenivere and Lancelot.

Thanks for this wonderful chance to win some of these awesome sounding books! You had me at Arthurian Legend!
