In the torchlight of the tent she could make him out all the clearer. His charcoal skin was smooth and flawless. His face so chiselled and handsome. Hair long and perfectly shiny. Her first guess only seemed all the more right; a god. Though with the dark clothes he wore, looking a blend of velvet and leather, mixed with his piercing dark gaze and skin, it didn’t take much guessing to place as what kind of deity he might be.
She bowed before him so gracefully, filled with respect and awe, though her eyes didn’t drop demurely as she felt that, perhaps, they should. Instead she was simply entranced with the man, and was an absolute slave to the need to see him fully, “They don’t know what they’re missing.” She waited a heartbeat before adding, “What should I call you?”

Taking his time mulling over something he looked back down at her. “You will suffice,” he stated, with a wave of his hand he gestured for her to follow.

Review: In Light of the Moon by A.L. Kessler

My Review:
WOW! This is my second taste of this author and I can guarantee it will not be my last. She has some fascinating abilities to create an amazing story line and I eagerly await the next book. The characters in this story are very complex, and there is more going on then meets the eye. Lucius, the vampire lord who now basically owns Kass, is playing a complicated game of chess using real people. His bottom line is a mystery and so is the "human" that graces his presence. This is a small piece of a larger puzzle and many of the players have yet to be revealed. Kass has an important part to play in future events, but everyone seems to waiting for a mark to appear that will seal her fate.
I enjoyed this story tremendously! I am anxious to see how all the pieces end up aligning and what Lucius' end game is. He truly is a fascinating creature. There are a lot of events that leave you hanging, and questions about certain events pertaining to the stone. She has everything in the story that will make you want to read the entire series!!! Excellent opening!!

My Review:
Demons have always been a love of mine, and I must say Darius lives up to my expectations!! Welcome to a world where demons rule over all, and any type of magic-user is considered an abomination. Especially the Gypsy Lady. Legend has it that a special being is born every generation with the power to bring about a change in fate. Cora's legacy is just beginning when she is almost caught by the Demon Prince himself. Darius becomes immediately fascinated with her and the shroud of mystery that seems to cloak her. One kiss and she consumes his thoughts, but their story is just beginning.
I enjoyed this glimpse into this author's realm. This was the story of a new start for all the paranormal creatures and hope for humankind. It was an enchanting tale brimming with lore, adventure, wonder, and one really strong woman determined to change the fate of her world. I really hope the author comes back to this world because I vastly enjoyed it!! All paranormal romance lovers will enjoy!!
