Giveaway and Interiew with Eden Baylee and her book Spring Into Summer

Hello and Welcome to The Dungeon!  I’m so happy to have you here visiting and sharing your newest work.  Don’t mind the noise from the prison… err guests, they get noisy during their…treatments..lol.  Let me clear a spot so you can have a seat.

Would you like some refreshments before you get started? Yes, scotch, neat please.  Love this set-up you have here in your Dungeon. ;)

Tell us a little bit about your book.
Spring into Summer is the companion piece to my first book, Fall into Winter. It’s comprised of four distinct erotic novellas; two take place in the spring and two in the summer.

The book is poetic, raw, and literary. Of course, the common thread of all the stories is sex, where it is appropriate and demanded by the story.

What first sparked the series idea?
When I used the seasons to link the stories, I knew I’d get at least two books out of it. Writing one book is great, but I was really happy to get two under my belt.

What is the key element in your character creation?  I try to model characters after people I’ve known or would like to have known more of.

Who is the character that in your opinion everyone is going to fall in love with?  Theo Van de Meer from my story, “The Lottery.” He’s alpha, sexy, and a Dutchman living in Thailand.

I have to ask, what are the hardest scenes for you to write? Funny enough, it’s the sex scenes. They can be easily interchangeable because there’s only so many positions you can get into. The story that builds up to them must be written well, as the anticipation of sex is what makes a story erotic.

How would you rate the sex scenes throughout the series?
It’s a range from sweet to steamy to HAWT.

Are there any of these in your books?  (Hands one of the toy boxes on the right which is filled with sex toys, whips, body creams, lotions, lubs…and whatever else you can imagine )
Sex toys, blindfolds, body oils in Spring into Summer. In Fall into Winter, I had whips, lubs and a dungeon with lots of equipment.

Do you see yourself writing anymore stories in this series or a spin-off?No, two books, four seasons, eight stories is it for this series. I venture into full-length novels next.

Are any of your characters reflective of you?Yes, many of them, but I’ll leave that to the imagination of the readers. ;)

Tell us about some of your upcoming books.
By yearend, I will release a collection of flash fiction and poems that have erotic elements. I’m also researching my new book to be released in 2013. It’s a mix of John Fowles/Charles Bukowski/Haruki Murakami and a dash of Pauline Réage thrown in for good measure. It’ll be my first full-length novel and I’m excited about it.

Where can we find you for future updates?

Here are all my links:

Any future touring in the works? It never stops. I have interviews, guest blogs, and plan on a live reading sometime next month. All the information can be found on my blog under my Promotion for Spring into Summer.

I’m so happy you have made this a stop.  Would you like a tour of the..err…levels?  Yes, love to.
I can introduce you to the “guests”, if you just hand me that box back.  Let’s get you suited up:

Wine, mixed drink, or straight up?  I’ll stick to my scotch, thank you.

Leather straps or chains?  Leather straps.

Cat-o-nine, braided leather, or chain length whip? Cat-o-nine.

Collar and Leash or Adornment? I’ll skip these.

Leather studded bodysuit or corset top? Corset.

Fishnets or garter-belt? Garter-belt.

Leather pants, mini, or a long skirt slitted up both sides? Long slitted skirt.

Lace up boots or high heels? High heel boots.  I love boots.

Ball gag, manacles, or blindfold? Blindfold without a question.

The rack or the whipping post? Hmm … surprise me.

Candle wax or clamps? Candle wax.

Blonde, red-head, or Brunette?  I’m partial to dark hair.

He is my personal favorite, but I have a thing for dark haired tattooed demons.  And the nipple piercings just add that little bit of kink.  The humans are kept on the upper levels even though I’m slowly weeding them out.  They just can’t seem to handle our….services.  And of course, the further down you go the more of the paranormal comes to light.  So …what’s your poison?   We also have a new level of shapeshifters that can take on ANY form you want……it’s actually quite amusing if you want to switch during….you get the picture!!!
So while I take Eden down to look at my stock, I'll leave you here with the book details and giveaway info!!  I loved this book and I know you will too!! Good Luck!!

Hi Maly, I agree, I would definitely prefer the dry to the wet season ;)

Hi Joanne, I love spring too.

It's so fresh and new, and gives me hope for the coming months.

Well, I live in Florida so we don't really have regular seasons. Though, I would go with winter since it's the least warm while still not freezing, less pollen in the air to mess with my allergies, less bugs, winter break, and Christmas.

My favorite is summer, i love warmth and sun, but the changing of seasons is nice, too. Love winter when i can stay inside by the fire and read, or spring when the snow melts and the early flowers come. Or autumn when i can put on warmer clothes again, =)

best wishes, Linda

My favorite season is fall, the changing colors and the cooler temps.

I love the fall. First because orange is my favorite color and second because I love to eat all of the great things coming out of my garden now.

Hi Jean MP,

Fall is beautiful - agree, though right now it's still quite green. I go up north of the city this week for Canadian Thanksgiving, and will see some gorgeous colors.

Thanks for your comment.
