Review: Dark Dates By Tracey Sinclair

All Cassandra Bick wants is to be left to get on with doing her job. But when you’re a Sensitive whose business is running a dating agency for vampires, life is never going to be straightforward – especially when there’s a supernatural war brewing in London, a sexy new bloodsucker in town and your mysterious, homicidal and vampire hating ex-lover chooses this moment to reappear in your life…

Witty, sharp and entertaining, Dark Dates is a heady mix of vampires, witches and werewolves – with the occasional angel thrown in – and introduces Cassandra Bick, a likeable heroine destined to join the ranks of fantasy’s feistiest females.

My Review:

Dateless Others of the world, have no fear!!  Cassandra Bick and her world-renowned match-making prowess is here to save you!!  LOL!  I loved the book!  Cassandra is definitely my kind of character, with her high level snark and don't mess with me attitude, she would make a killer heroine if she weren't 100% human.  Or was she?  Cass possesses some Sense power, but it is uncontrollable and if she is distracted (especially by some really hot guy) it becomes a little unreliable.  But for being a human she sure has a knack for attracting the other world. Her assistant has a residue amount of power always around her, her clients are usually vampires, and let's not forget to mention the guy she is on again off again with hasn't aged noticeably and she met him when she was 16.  Even though her life doesn't allow a lot of time for socializing, you think she would have at least one human friend?  Nope.  But something is lurking in the territory she calls home and has made her a target.  Vampires are being murdered and her clients and her business is also being targeted  for shut down.  A funny thing since all Cass really wants to do is help people find each other.

The main plot behind the creation of the story was unusual and gripping, not to mention the array of supernatural beings sprinkled throughout the story!  It was fun and highly entertaining read.  I laughed throughout the whole book.  You couldn't help but like Cass's dry humor and witty retorts.  She has a way of putting everyone in their place!  This was an excellent read and I can't wait until the next book!!

This sounds fun! I have an unhealthy addiction to those matchmaking shows on Bravo so I'm sure I will enjoy this one. Thanks for sharing
