Passion's Flight By Shannan Albright

Tegan Murin has his hands full these days. Feral attacks are increasing, targeting humans, and now he is ordered to find and destroy a deadly artifact known as Oman’s Seal, deal with his estranged step-father and find a missing archaeologist. He’s a bit irritable. Add into the mix a recurring dream of one sexy seductress leading him to his death… well, you get one very pissed off were-panther.
Kyra Navarone is more than what she seems. Escaping from the Ferals who captured her, she ends up running into a brooding, irritating man who makes her blood run hot just with one look. Her life depends on the betrayal of this compelling man, but how can she live with herself afterward?
More than their lives hang in the balance. In order to survive they must learn to trust one another before the world they know and the one hidden beneath the waves are destroyed forever.

My Review:

I love a book that has a lot going on, and this one definitely filled the bill!!  We have shifters, vampires, mers, Atlanteans, and crazy human fanatical groups..lol.  There are also crossbreeds in there somewhere as well.  Our main character, Tegan, is a were-panther.  Yumm :) Well this sexy kitty has a bad attitude, authority problems, and issues when it comes to socializing and working with a team.  Cats are loners by nature and Tegan is no exception to this rule. Surprisingly enough, this kitty is also the doctor to a small team known as the Enforcers, which is made up of different types of immortals.  Tegan is asked by his estranged father to help him track down a missing archaeologist.  She has been taken because she has information leading to the whereabouts of a very powerful artifact.  Tegan is forced into accepting the mission.  But he is unprepared for the emotions that swamp him when Kyra finds him.

Kyra is one gigantic puzzle.  Raised on the run by her parents, she has never has time to make friends and is in fact a loner herself.  Work was the most important thing to her and she became quite successful in her chosen field.  But Kyra carries many secrets.  She has literally been running from her past that is just as eager to catch her.  Could this panther be the answer to her secret prayers?

Unprepared by the onslaught of emotions that are brought about when the pair meet, they nevertheless try to focus on their mission.  But being together alone, once to often, proves that their passion will not be denied.  I enjoyed this story.  You get to know a wide array of characters because there are several sub-plots going on at the same time.  It was enjoyable learning about all the different factions, and meeting different types of immortals.  Shannan has done a superb job incorporating all the species together.  This was an amazing read!  If you like spicy paranormal romances then this book is right up your alley!!  I can't wait to read the rest of the series.  This book was a real treasure!!

Wow, this book sounds crazy. That much going on at the same time? Dang. Think I'll read it just to see what all happens.
