Review: A Witchingly Sassy Seduction by Mychal Daniels

A Sassy world releases today!!  I'll be talking to you about the different stories, such as this one by Mychal Daniels!

New comer to town, Celia Thomas, has some big things in her life—a big mouth and an even bigger problem.

Said mouth has managed to get her into some serious trouble with a vicious coven, she's just so happened to have pissed off.

Celia’s a young, latent witch with no powers, trying to hide out in a powerful wolf shifter community, until she meets a man who won't let her hide--from him. Try as she might, she can’t hide from the mysterious lone wolf shifter, Owain Colfer. He’s just too damn hard to shake in more ways than one.

When she realizes he won't be easily ditched, she must come to terms with what she can and can’t do with this sexy wolf. What happens next is fun, sexy and oh so exciting.

This is a standalone, multicultural, curvy, BWWM, paranormal story that contains depictions of adult coupling. Suggested readers: +18

We start off our tale with Celia on the run.  Got to love a Sassy mouthed BBW who doesn't try to be anything that she's not, and unfortunately, Celia has quite a curious streak.  Finding herself in one of the most predominate shifter towns, with the Wolfe Scenting Ceremony going, how was she not going to check this out?  One hot run in later with a huge wolf literally staring her down, had her re-thinking this great idea!!  But ohhhhh....sometime fate has a way of hiding all the cars!!

Celia was already running from a witch she had managed to humiliate, and now she literally kept bumping into this hot wolf.  Trying to keep a low profile was not working for her, especially since she seemed to be attracting all manner of attention by just being herself!!   Celia was a delightful character that had a unique innocence about her that made it impossible not to adore her!  Even when she was spewing up all that sass!!

Owain was a hot teddy bear of a wolf that knew what he wanted and tried taking it a few time.  Unfortunately for him, Celia had other plans and made it very difficult for him to stake his claim.  Did she even realize what was going on?

The buildup between the two main characters was intense and loved loved loved the backstory!  Completely inventive and fun, it is a great before bedtime read!!  Absolutely adored this trip into the Sass!!  Keep them coming!!!

Day 12 of the 13 days of S.A. Price: The Bride Wore Latex

Its here!!  Its here!!  Finally Friday!!  Welcome to Day 12 of S.A. Prices 13 day event.  I will be wrapping this up but I am in no way done with reading this authors work!!  Next up is The Bride Wore Latex, not exactly what your picturing ...but close.  It was a naughty number given to her by some of her new family....Let's take a look:

This story takes place in the space between the last chapter of the book THIS IS FOREVER and the Epilogue. It is in no way a stand alone, so we urge you to not read this until you have read the other books in the series, or this will not make any sense, and just seem like erotica. It is not.

If you have just stumbled across this story, (possibly because you liked the name of the book or the cover photo) the series, 13 Shades of Red starts with the prequel story You Burn Me, goes to Giving up the Ghost, followed by The Serendipity of Karma, and then This is Forever. It should be read in order.

We hope you enjoy this extra, and that you stick with us for book #3 in the series, Make Damn Sure, coming Spring 2014.

Its true...the title does make it sound like a little hot erotic short, when in actuality its a continuance in the series.  It sort of wraps up Lola and Winter...at least it puts them on a different level.  While I loved seeing these two again, I was also extremely happy to see our other demons popup!  This truly is a fun-filled series and I cant wait for the next book!!

Day 11 of the 13 days of S.A. Price: You Burn Me

Happy Thursday!!  I just can't wait for this week to be over so I can be on my way to Savannah and AAD!!  So much stuff lined up and I get to visit in person with the amazing S.A. Price.  A true treat.  So we are back to the series that I absolutely love:  13 Shades:  You Burn Me.    Hands down, once I started reading it I could not put it down!  Its engaging and creative and just all around fun!!  So let me intoduce you to X and Dante:

A priestess of The Morrigan, Xxieda Rolla is a woman who has known success in her business, fulfillment in her family life and is only missing one thing: the love of the man that would have her for always. Sent to Shadow Heights New York by her goddess to find him, she meets the ever tasty, ever surly Dante Barratt. Sparks fly, and so does Amaretto Latte.

Dante, a dealer of rare and illegal commodities, and a very tempestuous fire demon might want the woman who's brown eyes haunt him, but knows better then to get involved with someone who just screams purity. Shes hot, and successful in ways he never could be, and knows a man that just gave away his soul like he did didn't deserve a woman like that.

After a chance encounter on a dark street corner, and an earth shattering kiss, Both are powerless to deny the chemistry between them... until Xxieda tells him her secret: shes a virgin.

Caught between his head and his heart, can Dante accept the fact that Fate sometimes gives us exactly what we really need, not what we think we want?

This book was one of my favorites, from the second that Dante got coffee spilled in his lap.  He was a total jerk and completely deserved it!!  XXieda is one of The Morrigan's favored priestess and is such that X has remained pure all of her life in order to best serve her goddesss.  When Morrigan tells her that her fated one is near, X sets off on an adventure to find him.  All she knows is that he was in Shadow Heights.  Considering the area size, that wasn't a lot to gone on, but, X had waited this long..lol

X is probably one of my favorite characters in the series. She is lucky professionally and spiritually but not so lucky in the love department.  I can completely relate.  She loves her job and cares very deeply for the band and her goddess.  Combine that with her fashion sense and amazing humor, you have one killer package!!   Unfortunately up until now she was the only one that noticed.

Dante is a bit of a loner type.  He has friends and associates he works with but he truly would rather be alone.  So hes surly and a tad rude and completely at a loss on how to deal with X.  Especially when they keep bumping into each other (literally).

The best part of this book  (to me) is a particular scene where the Morrigan is talking to Dante about X.  She tells him she had other plans for X but because of his kiss, that future was wiped away as a possibility.  I liked that.  Sort of a fate vrs free will.  It was very unique to this book and made the book just that much more enjoyable!!!  This is an incredible story!!

Day 10 of the 13 days with S.A. Price: Consort

Happy Hump Day my tantalizing team!! Today we are going to talk about Djinn.  Now there is an interesting mix of folklore about their actual exsistence.  Personally, if you watch Supernatural?  They probably are more like that.  Lulling you into a blissful dream while eating you.  You die happy...the Djinn gets dinner.  Win win..lol.  I would imagine that this species would be arrogant, immortal and extremely powerful...not unlike our own Nick.  Let's take a look at his story:

Two stories... one book.

The Bargain
As a Djinn, the most powerful race of genies, Nicodemus Marsh is
sent in to deal with a fiery Janey Duvall after she refuses to help
the exiled demon prince get rid of the problems in a business
endeavor in the east. Oozing with sex appeal, Nicodemus begins
a seduction Janey can barely resist. After a very erotic encounter,
Janey finds out she’s bound to Nicodemus, and has three wishes
to make. The bargain? Three wishes, and in return, she’s his sexual
slave for one hundred years.

The Job
Janey Duvall, newly bound consort to the Djinn Nicodemus Marsh, is
having a few minor problems with the delivery of a contract, namely,
the assassin is refusing to finish the job. Knowing this is not normal
behavior, she decides that going to Beijing, the city the hit is
supposed to take place, is the best course of action.

Marsh is intrigued by the idea, having a few of his own that involve
Janey and an auction, and agrees to go, even calling in his marker
from his most recent job of taming the fiery woman that became
his consort to help with the investigation.

When Marsh is faced with the task of transforming Janey for their
investigation, will his glamour hold up to the scrutiny and allow
them to prevail, or will he lose the one woman he could ever
give his heart to?

WOOOW.  This was a smoking hot read.  I loved loved loved Janey's character!!  She was a complete bada++, even though she was sick.  Nic was well quite unexpected.  He was assertive, powerful, all consuming, dominate, and down right sexy to the core.  Do I blame Janey for falling for him?  Hec no!!  I think I was a little in love with him myself at the end of the story.  So book one is the meeting and hooking up of these two.  My my my...I just can't say enough about Nic..especially on the picnic!!

Book 2 is more about getting to know the personal details of the people.  You learn about Janey's past and you learn about Duvall itself.  Its very building and the story is an interesting one, I just prefered the raw nature of the first one myself, even though I'm usually the detail hog!!

Both were great books in their own way.  This is another series that I couldn't put down.  After the first chapter, you'll see why!!

Caught in a Kiss:    As soon as they left the room, Destiny removed her hand from his and reached for her book. She gave him that suspicious look again, pursing her lips before she spoke. Sitting in a chair directly across from the sofa, she narrowed her eyes and openly asked, “What is it about you that sets me on edge?” Japheth lifted one corner of his mouth. Charming. This little female continued to challenge him. “You tell me. Can you sense that we are connected?” He crossed his arms, taking special notice of the quickening of her heartbeat and imagined her luscious chocolate nipples tightening to taut buds just waiting for his tongue. He braced himself for the lie, her sweet scent of arousal even stronger now. “You and me? No. I’ve never met you before.” And there it was, right on cue. She placed the book on the table beside her and stood, her expression daring him to come closer. “I don’t think Robert would like…” The air shifted with her movement, and Japheth closed his eyes briefly, basking in her scent. Just one taste. He opened them, moving toward her. “Robert. You’re not going to say anything to Robert. If I decided to take you for myself right now with Robert in the next room, he would be the least of my problems. Whether or not we’ve met before has nothing to do with our connection.” Destiny glared at him and took a step back. “If you decided to take me?” She pointed her index finger at him as she continued. “You listen to me, you arrogant bastard, you don’t decide to do anything…” J narrowed his eyes and took another step toward her, closing the distance she’d tried to put between them until he was mere inches away. His conscience, long quieted into silence, balked at the idea of entrancing her and taking her so far from Robert she would forget he existed. There was something about her that made her willingness to be with him more important than his desire for her. Her wants and needs took precedence over his own. He shook his head, silencing his conscience again. Destiny stumbled forward, an apparent moment of dizziness, placing the index finger of her right hand at her forehead and the palm of her left hand on his shoulder to steady herself. She blinked several times, her dark lashes appearing to move in slow motion, and looked into his eyes as if seeing him for the first time. J wasn’t sure what was happening. He hadn’t done anything to entrance her. He had wanted to, but he was certain he had restrained himself, yet she tilted her head up and kissed him. A mere brush of her velvety-soft lips sent a spark of possession through his entire body. He gripped her upper arms, dragging her body against him, and deepened the kiss. Seekers. He couldn’t shake the feeling that they were getting closer this time – that his contact with Destiny would make him and her easier for them to locate. His feelings were always right. He loosened his grip, allowing her to step back. The fact that she had already been attacked at least twice meant his enemies had found her. Although she had not described her attackers, J knew that the same evil creatures he had decimated at the bus station had attacked Destiny before his arrival. He had quickly wiped Destiny’s memory of the attack as well as Robert’s, but to his surprise, guilt twisted inside him. He did not like wiping her memory or altering her in any way. Her connection to him placed her in danger, and he wanted her to fully understand whatever decision she made. She stared into his eyes. “Oh, I, um, that’s not what I, I mean, I didn’t…” Destiny’s gaze shifted slightly, and she took in a sharp breath. J frowned, clenching his jaw before turning to face Robert. Dammit. His heart plummeted when he saw her reaction. He had sensed the moment Robert awoke, but Destiny commanded every bit of his consciousness. She was all he could think about, and he needed her away from Robert. He also didn’t want her hurt in any way. He felt her pain and confusion, the new sensation throwing him off balance for a moment. He had always known he had the ability to feel another’s emotions, but until now, he had never allowed anyone to get close enough.
