I'll be the first to admit I was hesitant when I picked up this book because it fell under the new adult sub-genre...and I was like grrrreeeat. Another teeny axy mash-up about a wanna-be band. But I totally dug the author when I met her and thought...she doesn't look the type to re-write Twilight with a rock twist, so I'll give her a try. Man I was so glad I did! This book was amazing! It completely changed my outlook on stories involving music groups, just because of the unique circumstances surrounding all the people involved with and around the band.
Rhys is a super multi-talented singer that sinks himself into girls and alcohol to run from his past. He is used to getting whatever he wants from girls until he runs into Saffron. She has her own agenda and no matter how bad she might want him, her attraction doesn't control her. Rhys doesn't want to fight the attraction he feels with Saff, but whatever is developing kind of throws him off. He has lived with so much pain for so long, can this be the girl to finally bring him back to life?
This book contains some smoking hot scenes that will have you looking at the label going...new adult??? Trust me when I say...I loved it.
