I sat down last year to
write a winter holiday story and knew one of the characters was a leopard
shifter. As I got into the story a whole world opened up. All these characters,
shapeshifter at that, came to me chatting about their stories. I had no choice
but to stop working on that winter story and plot a whole new series about
leopards and wolves.
As for that winter story? It
became the prologue for Ashwood Falls titled Winter Eve.
So why two Packs living
together? Why not? It provides great secondary conflicts throughout the series.
Wolves and leopards are natural enemies in the wild. In Ashwood the two species
must learn to balance their human and animal natures to live together in peace
and fight beside each other against a rogue group of shifters that wants
control over all shifter races.
Ashwood Falls was born and
stands right now as a 10 book series with the occasional novella here and
there.
Series blurb:
There comes a time
when setting your differences aside isn’t just necessary, it’s a means of
survival. After losing over half of their dens to a group rogue shifters, the
wolves and leopards merged as one Pack, but living together is much more of a
challenge then they expected.
