Until the Next Time: (The Angel Chronicles #1) By Amy Lignor

Hello and welcome to this stop on Amy's tour.  I am so pleased to have been a part of it.  This book is a complete treasure and I hope you will continue reading to find out why I feel that way.  Let's take a look at the book details so you may become enraptured as well:

How does a girl choose between the one who steals her heart and the one who owns her soul?

Matt and Emily were created for a specific job. Raised and trained as the ultimate angel/warrior team, they are sent down to save, defend, judge and forgive, depending on the 'life' they've been assigned. What they don't realize is that the power of human emotions, such as love, anger, passion and fear can take over even the best of souls, causing them to make mistakes and follow paths that lead to confusion and heartache.

When the reason for their training is finally revealed, the angel/warrior team find themselves thrust into a world they know nothing about. Matt takes over the life of Daniel, a young man with a great deal of baggage. Emily becomes Liz, a girl living in a remote village who relies on nothing more than her own strength to survive. A violent storm erupts one night, and framed in the window of Liz's establishment is a frightening face. Let in by the soul of a Good Samaritan, the two visitors bring with them a past full of secrets that could literally change an angel's path and a warrior's plans.

From murder to redemption, this angel/warrior team must find a way to keep the faith they have in each other in a world that's ripping them apart.

My Review:

I have a passion for angel/demon books.  You will find the scattered reviews throughout my blog because they are one of my favorite paranormal aspects.  This book however, blew me away.   I reached out to me on several levels, held me captivated in its grip, and refused to release me even after I read the last page.  This was one of those books that goes on your top shelf, one that you will re-read during your brooding or theological times and think what if?  We have all met, at one time or the other, a special person that lights up the room with their presence, and always has a kind word to make even the gloomiest of days shine.  Emily, in her human shell, is one such a person.  She was groomed specifically to answer the prayers of a small area in Ireland.  Along with her warrior partner Matt, she will try to save several individuals and rid the area of an evil duo that is corrupting men.  But along the way she most overcome many obstacles, to include losing her heart to Jason.  How can she love two men?
The concepts inside the story are sensational.  I loved the fact that earth was more of like a school and that people's mistakes were forgivable if you repented.  It seems that if you are bad, well you truly are bad to the core and that they are distinguishable from those that have been thrown a bad lot.  I also loved the concept of reincarnation and that the angels were able not only to learn from their mistakes, but to correct them.  Actually I really just loved the whole book.  It had a suck you in flow, that kept you glued to the book.  Even with the fade to black sexual references, which in no way took away from the story.  I truly cannot wait to read the next installment to this series.  You have a real talent Amy.  I pray you continue on this path because I can guarantee a huge fan base and a lot of success!!

This book is on tour right now!  Check out the schedule here:http://the-angel-chronicles.blogspot.com/2012/01/until-next-time-blog-tour-schedule.html
